This year’s Earth Day brought 3 women together who have destroyed many “glass ceilings” – Amy Goodman from “Democracy Now”, Dr Vandana Shiva from Navdanya & Maude Barlow, head of the Council of Canadians. All are tireless workers for human and ecological “rights”.

The discussion centred on Earth Rights, and the Bolivian movement to incorporate Earth Rights into the Declaration of Human Rights. The main reason being the commodification of air, water, tribal lands and seeds, grossly disadvantages local citizens as these items become available to the highest bidder.
