Antoni Gaudi began his association with Eusebio Guell with this project, he was to design the stables and surrounds to a property owned by Guell. What came out of this is one of Gaudi’s most discussed works, the Dragon Gate. Again this demonstrated Gaudi’s love of metalwork and his ability to have it express natural, (or imaginary) forms. The stables used parabolas as the main structural element and is now used to house the Gaudi archive.
